Jonatan Christi was nervous when playing with the world's badminton legend Susi Susanti at an exhibition match prior to BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier (BIOSSP) 2014 final. In fact, Jo, Jonatan's nickname, said playing with Susi Susanti is even overwhelming than playing in big tourneys.

"Unexpectedly, he had only been notified three days ago. It is surely a pleasure to play with a legend," Jo said after the exhibition match at Senayan stadium, Jakarta, Sunday (22/6).

The family man, Jo who is also a Pelatnas Cipayung athlete, praises how Susi performed which is still good. He admitted, Susi, the wife of Alan Budikusuma, still has good stamina although no longer active as an athlete.

"Her feet movements are still fast. Those who have been married tend to be slower, she is simply not," said Jo.

In 2014 is the second time for Jonatan to perform at Indonesia Open not as a player. In 2013, he became pelatnas' envoy who becomes the successor of Indonesian star Taufik Hidayat who at that time decided to retire.

Unfortunately, he still hasn't got chances to perform as a player at a stadium where players from around the world called it sacred. Thus, his curiosity arose and hoped next year he can take part as a player.

"This year I am still in waiting list. But, the chance motivates me to perform better. The pressure is there to balance the Indonesian legends, but I try to minimize it and say it with achievements," he added.
