The men's doubles title is won by a Chinese pair Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen at the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2017. They both present the second title for China after defeating Denmark's pair, Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen, on Sunday (18/6).

Having left 0-5 at the beginning of the game, Li/Liu who is the third seeded was slowly starting to catch up. Even after the interval, they successfully scored five consecutive points and took the lead 16-13 before they finally managed to end the game with victory 21-19.

In the second game, Li Liu's could actually dominate the game earlier. Leading 9-3, they were immediately left 17-19 before finally defeated, 19-21.

Entering the third game, Li/Liu looked more able to dominate the game. Winning 11-9 at the interval, the points were all square 12-12. But the Japan Open 2016 champion managed to maintain their lead and finally they won with 21-18 right after Mogensen's return was far too wide.

"My game today is better compared to yesterday. We lost in the second game because of incorrect strategy, but eventually we could get up and win," said Li after the match.

"In the third game, we applied a lot of defensive strategies and when there was a chance to attack, we counter-attacked," added Liu.

"We have been paired for three years and we feel we deserve to be a champion," said Li.
