All SIngles Fall Through, Indonesia Sends Three Doubles To Semifinal

Jakarta, - Of eight Indonesia's representatives at BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier 2015 Quarter Final, Friday (5/6), only three manage to go to Semifinal held on Saturday, (6/6), they are Men's Doubles pair Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan, Women's Doubles Greysia Polii/Nitya Krishinda, and Mixed Doubles Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir.

Meanwhile, the other two players in Men's Singles through Jonatan Christie and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, two Women's Singles players Putri Maria Febe and Lindaweni Fanetri, and Men's Singles Wahyu Nayaka Arya Pankarianira/Ade Yusuf, still haven't been able to follow compatriots to semifinal after crushed by their respective opponents.

Although leaving only three representatives, the Indonesian legend Rexy Mainaky who is also the Head of PBSI development and achievement division stated that the Indonesian athletes performed at the Rp 10 billion tournament have raised optimism for Indonesian badminton prospect in the future.

"Although only sending three in semifinal, I think the achievements made by the youth players reaching the quarter final especially in Mne's Singles category are pretty promising for Indonesian badminton players for the next events and hopefully their seniors are able to survive at the tournament and grab titles," Rexy said.
