This result means that Jindapol has secured a spot for her in the quarter-final stage of Indonesia Open.

“I feel that I have played very well today. And today is very delightful and good for me, as I have seen how she performs when she played against Sung Ji Hyun, so I have prepared myself and knew what kind of strategy is should apply when playing against her,” said Nitchanon Jindapol to Djarumbadminton.com.

“Today, I think she tried to replicate her performance from yesterday, but I was more than ready to face that,” she added.

Jindapol managed to control the game since the first set. Although Jindapol’s performance was slightly decreasing by the end of the first set and it became a momentum for Michelle Li to catch up with the score, however, upon the 20-20 position, Jindapol finally found her rhythm and won the first set.

On the second set, the Thai player’s performance was improving significantly. Michelle Li were forced to play under the pressure throughout the set. “I admit I have lost my focus during the last few points of the first set as I was thinking too much on how to end the game. And I could not turn the condition around again until the 20-20 position. Luckily, I finally found my rhythm back and able to win the first set,” she said.

Through to the quarter-final of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000, Jindapol will face the fourth seeded player from Japan, Akane Yamaguchi who has secured a spot in the next round earlier than Jindapol after beating the Hong Kong player, Cheung Ngan Yi with the score of 21-19 and 21-15.
