Jakarta | The Women’s Singles player from Taiwan, Tai Tzu Ying is still on winning road. Playing in Istora Senayan, Jakarta on Friday (19/7), Tzu Ying managed to secure a spot in the semifinal of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000 after beating the Thai player, Ratchanok Intanon with the score of 21-18, 16-21 and 21-12.

“Ratchanok and I do not sit far apart in the current world’s rank. Hence, fierce match like this often happens. She is a good player. It’s not easy to beat her. I’m happy that I can won the match,” said Tai Tzu Ying after the match.

Although troubled by the opponent in the second set, Tzu Ying managed to turn the situation around in the third set. “In the second set I was not patient. And she made use of that condition. I was carried away by her performance. But, in the third set I tried to be calm and tried to reduce the unforced errors,” she said.

Through to the semifinal of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000, Tai Tzu Ying will still have to wait to find out whether she will play Akane Yamaguchi, from Japan or Nitchanon Jindapol from Thailand, as the match between them will only be played later in the evening.

“For tomorrow certainly I have to be more ready. In every tournament and every match, I always try to play all-out. That’s why it is important for me to maintain my condition well,” she added.
