Indonesia badminton fans have a unique nickname for their favorite players. Some players are not comfortable while many of them are amazed with the Indonesian fans' behavior.

Including the discussions among Indonesian badminton fans about a China's young women's and mixed doubles specialist, Chen Qingcheng, who is considered by the fans having a Dora like hairstyle. Dora itself is an animated character whose haircut is considered similar to Chen's.

The funny thing is, it was realized by Chen and she didn't take it seriously, instead she is pretty happy with it.

"The Indonesians give me a nickname Dora, and I feel happy with that," Chen said.

Chen herself has secured a BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2017 semifinal ticket together with her partner, Jia Yifan. Both of them qualified for the semi-final after in the quarter-finals this Friday afternoon (16/6) were able to stun a Danish pair, Kamilla Rytter Juhl/Christinna Pedersen with 18-21, 21-17 and 21-11.

"We are satisfied with today's performance. The opponent may be aging so their stamina is not as strong as ours," said Chen.

In the semi-final tomorrow, Saturday (17/6), Cheng/Jia will take on the winner between Puttita Supajirakul/Sapsiree Taerattanachai (Thailand) and Anggabat Shitta/Ni Ketut Mahadewi Istarani (Indonesia) who will compete for a semi-final ticket tonight.
