Kevin/Selvanus Overcame Malaysia's Doubles to Meet Public Expectations

JAKARTA - A thrilling and exciting game occurred in Indonesia Open qualifying round on court 4, Istora Senayan, Jakarta, when hometeam's men's doubles Kevin Sanjaya/Selvanus Geh fought against Malaysia's Jagdish Singh/Roni Wae Long.

Kevin Sanjaya and his partner Selvanus Geh made the crowds anxious after the Malaysia's doubles overcame them in the first game, 19-21. The tight result reflected the tight match which became the spotlight at the stadium since it was Malaysia they were facing.

In the second game, Kevin/Selvanus demonstrated their best skills to twist the game which resulted in Rubber Game. In the rubber game, Malaysia's doubles had to accept the defeat from Indonesia's doubles, 21-14.

The crowds were excited the Indonesia's envoys manage to be back on the right track. During two minute break before the knockout, the spectators support was even more wilder to support the Indonesia's hope.

The knockout round started with the offensive play from Malysia's doubles which gave them positive result. They stole the first point and the vrowds were suddenly worried. However, they never stopped to chant to as a form of support for Kevin/Selvanus. Kevin tended to make mistakes in the third game and gave Jagdish/Roni points.

After switching side, Kevin/Selvanus started to perform better, their shots were sharper and well-aimed until they could turn the score to all square, 14-14. After that, they were unstoppable; they finally ended the game with victory over the Malaysia's doubles, 21-15.

When Kevin/Selvanus reached 21, the crowds were going wild, shouting and chanting for the victory.

"Kevin Selvanus played incredibly, from the beginning, I have been expecting this doubles would  win since the opponent is Malaysia," Denas Yuni, a spectator from Bogor, said.
