Unlike other former badminton players who become coaches or businessman after retirement, Korean player, Ko Sung Hyun, has an unusual plan.

The men's and mixed doubles specialist wants to be a lecturer in a university when he is fully retired from badminton world.

Ko was not kidding in pursuing his new plan. He is currently pursuing a master degree in one of the universities in Korea majoring Sport Psychology.

"I am currently getting my degree in Korea taking Sport Psychology. But for now I still want to be a player for quite a while. When I am not an athlete anymore, I have the dream of becoming a lecturer," said Ko when met by media crew at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).

Ko came to Indonesia to explain why he did not fulfill BWF's invitation to perform at the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2017.

"Actually I still want to hang out in Indonesia, but next Sunday I have to play in a local tournament in Korea, so I have to go home," Ko concluded.
