The Denmark head coach Lars Uhre stated Boe received a call from his girlfriend who was about to give birth.

As a result, Boe decided to fly home and gave his Chinese opponent an easy victory.

"When Boe took part at this tournament, his girlfriend was expecting a baby and he received a phone call that she was about to give birth. Boe directly flew home with an early flight this morning," Uhre said representing Boe in a statement.

Boe's withdrawal costs Denmark lost a chance to win a title at BIO 2015. But Uhre said he is not disappointed, because Boe's reason is something that came unexpectedly.

"I am not disappointed, instead, this is a good news for Boe and for the whole team. There are things beyond our control apart from what we are able to control," he said.
