Playing in front of his supporters at Senayan stadium, Wednesday, (18/6), Sony could only handle the world's first rank in the first set. However, the world's 19th player failed to keep the momentum. Sony was overwhelmed by his opponent's smashed which forced him to surrender, 21-7.

The second set was not poles apart, he who has just degraded from Pelatnas PBSI Cipayung failed to overcome Chong Wei's domination and have to give up with 21 11, this also worsens Sony's record agains Chong Wei.

From 15 matches, Sony could only achieve five victories while the rest belongs to the world's first rank, Chong Wei.

"I met Sony several times in the beginning of tournaments. But this time I noticed Sony was playing too carefully since he has just recovered from injury," Chong Wei said after the match.

Meanwhile, in the second round of BIOSSP 2014, Chong Wei will take in France's Leverdez Brice to fight for a ticket to the third round. Their head to head record shows that Chong Wei scores four victories and Brice has none.
