Winning in the first game and losing in the second game until finally making a comeback in the decisive game, Sung said it was due to wind factor that was difficult to control.
"Today the wind is difficult to control. I played with full of concentration in the first game, but I just lost focus in the second game. "It was fortunate I could focus and win in the decisive match," said Sung.
This is the first time Sung qualified for the Superseries Premier tournament final in 2017, and this is also her first time to qualify for the Indonesia Open final ever since she has participated in the previous years. It makes Sung very happy.
"It's very exciting to finally breach the Superseries final this year, and also to reach the final of Indonesia Open for the first time," said Sung.
In the final round, Sunday (18/6), Sung will take on a Japanese player, Sayaka Sato. Sung has a good record against the Japanese women's singles. Of the 13 previous meetings, Sung was able to win 12 of them.
"I have met Sayaka several times. She has a strong power and a good pitch cover. I will have to focus and control the wind tomorrow," Sung concluded.
