Achieving another victory, Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir ensure a place in Djarum Indonesia Open Super Series Premier (DIOSSP) 2013 semifinal, meaning, the road to win a title at home is not too far.

The Malaysia’s mixed doubles Peng Soon Chan/Liu Ying Goh was defeated in two sets straight, 21-15, 21-16. In semifinal, Towi/Liliyana will play against the winner of a match between Muhammad Rijal/Debby Susanto and Joachim Fischer Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen.

"We played offensively, Malaysia as well showed a good performance.
However, they looked nervous because of the supporters and lacking of points,” said Lilyana who is also addressed as Butet.

Playing at home boosts the Towi/Lilya’s ambitions to become the
champion. Moreover, since both have beein paired, Towi/Lilya have just
tasted the podium only once in 2010 when the event was still named as
Indonesia Open Grand Prix Gold instead of Djarum Indonesia Open Super
Series Premier.

"Hopefully we can face compatriots. At least, we have one pair in
final. Whatever the result is, whoever the opponent is, we are ready.
In addition, being here means receiving full supports from the fans
and family,” Liliyana continued.

The chance is wide open since Towi/Lily have been rising stars in the
last four years. In 2013, Towi/Liliy have collected two titles; in
India Open Super Series and All England Super Series Premier.

"The most important thing is winning the title for Indonesia,” she added.
Besides, the title holder, Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam
withdrew their participation in the tourney due to Saralee’s injury.
Will their ambition be fulfilled?
